Profile Helena Lockwood

Helena Morris-Lockwood BA (hons), PGCE

Helena graduated from Cumbria Institute of Arts in 2008 with a first class degree in Performing Arts.

She has performed as a singer from the age of 15 at weddings and with the local big bands. Helena is trained in dance styles Contemporary, Jazz, Street, Tap and Ballet, and plays the saxophone and clarinet. Helena gained her Secondary Dance PGCE at Exeter University in 2010.

As well as being a Music Makers session leader since 2015, Helena is also a practitioner for the Cumbria Udance festivals and works with Dancing Recall (dance and dementia).

She is Early Stages teacher at Stagecoach Performing Arts in Carlisle, teaching 4-7 year olds dance, drama and singing, and teaches singing at Stagecoach Performing Arts in Cockermouth.
